The Bible uses a number of images to help describe what the church is. Images like a body, a bride, an army or a flock – each of them describe something of our relationship with God and each other. But in Ephesians 2 we have we have two images – the church as a family, and the church as a holy temple. As we unpack each of them this Sunday we will get to see something of the beauty of God’s plans, the amazing grace of the Lord Jesus and the incredible privilege we have to belong to Christ and each other.
